HELIDECK OPERATIONS INITIAL TRAINING – HOIT
The aim and objectives of the Helideck Operations Initial Training programme are to equip the delegate with the initial knowledge, understanding and skills required to perform the roles of offshore Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA) safely and effectively.
HEAVY MACHINERY
The Heavy Machinery Training course was designed to provide participants with the required basic skills, practicality and knowledge of the functional safety associated with the operation of heavy equipment. In addition, the course will cover areas on how to avoid injuries and accidents by training operators on required safety procedures such as how to inspect before and after the use of equipment, making the work environment safe.
HEAT STRESS
Due to the Saudi hot climate and working conditions in industrial and plant facilities, heat can create a series of conditions where the human body could take on stress from overheating. Heat- related illnesses include heat cramps, heat exhaustion, heat rash, or heat stroke, each with its own symptoms and treatments. Symptoms can range from profuse sweating to dizziness, cessation of sweating, and collapse. At greatest risk of heat stroke are the elderly, children, and people with medical conditions, such as heart disease. However, even young and healthy individuals can succumb to heat if they participate in strenuous physical activities during hot weather. This course will assist participants on identifying areas where heat stress can occur and will highlight the proper methods on heat stress prevention in the workplace and during hot temperature seasons.
HAZCOM
The purpose of Hazard Communication Course is to ensure that the hazards of all chemicals produced or imported are classified, and that information concerning the classified hazards is transmitted to employers & employees. The requirements are intended to be consistent with the international standards & regulations. The course addresses the various types of hazards, how to properly identify and label the hazard. The course will also cover how to read and understand the warning signs associated with the products or chemicals.
HAZARD RECOGNITION / IDENTIFICATION
Hazard identification is a key part of any injury & illness prevention program within the workplace. If hazards are not identified, then they cannot be mitigated properly. In order to maintain healthy & positive working environment, it is important to recognize hazards and implement control measure to eliminate or mitigate those hazards. Working within the workplace on daily basis imposes numerous hazards, failure to recognize the nature of these hazards will lead to incidents, accidents, injuries or deaths. The course provides methodology for identifying hazards in the form of formal inspections, safety surveys and methods to conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)/ Job Safety Analysis (JSA). The course will highlight how to properly evaluate hazards depending on their risk priority and will provide the suitable control measures such as elimination, substitution, engineering controls or administrative controls. This course will also cover the required personal protective equipment to reduce the risk of hazards. In addition this course will provide an understanding of the formal processes required to identify, control and monitor hazards in the workplace
HAZARD MATERIAL HANDELING (HAZMAT)
Hazardous material handling (HAZMAT) is a course that has been designed to introduce and effectively educate participants on how to properly deal with all the materials or substances that poses a danger to life, property, or the environment if improperly stored, shipped or handled. Working environment include a number of hazardous materials, and in order to minimize the risk of hazardous materials, personnel should know how to recognize the presence of hazardous material, and understand the requirements of transporting HAZMAT materials as per the international and local standards. A recognized international standard is the (Department of Transportation) DOT. The (National Fire Protection Association) NFPA is another recognized international standard. The course will also cover the proper procedures on how to properly store the hazardous materials and further extract the information from the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). The course will also highlight methods and procedures on how to control a spill in case of occurrence and proper steps in evacuation and emergency response
HAND AND POWER TOOL SAFETY
In 2017 there were 991 reported fatalities in the workplace. Not all of these were due to hand and power tools, yet it's important to understand that using defective tools, or not using tools correctly do cause fatalities as well as serious injuries. Hand and power tools are a common part of our everyday lives and are present in nearly every industry. These tools help us easily perform tasks that otherwise would be difficult or impossible. Hand and power tool hazards are addressed in specific standards for the general industry, shipyard employment, marine terminals, longshoring, and the construction industry. This course is designed to present to employees and employers a summary of the basic safety procedures and safeguards associated with hand and portable power tools.
GENERAL SAFETY
Workplace safety hazards can cause number of serious accidents, in order to avoid these accidents employees should follow some general safety rules. Avoiding unsafe acts & conditions will play an important role in reducing the near misses, accidents etc. The course is designed to increase the awareness among the participants on unsafe acts & conditions, general safety rules, incident reporting and safe practices to follow while working on the sites, plants & factories etc. The course will also raise the awareness of their duties & responsibilities of participants towards safety.
GAS TESTER
In hydrocarbon facilities it is required to undertake gas testing in all locations where injury to personnel or damage to property could occur due to the presence of hazardous atmospheres. These hazardous atmospheres may consist of enriched or deficient oxygen levels, flammable, and toxic gases. Gas testing is required to confirm that the atmosphere in the work environment is safe before personnel are permitted to enter or conduct work. This course has theoretical and practical components that participants must successfully complete.
FORKLIFT/TELEHANDLER/MANLIFT OPERATOR
This course is designed to present fundamental information on forklift/powered industrial truck safety. The course will highlight the importance of checking out the forklift equipment before operating it. In addition, the course will educate participants on how to properly survey the areas in which personnel will operate their forklift for potentially hazardous situations. Personnel attending this course will learn how operate their forklift using safe driving techniques, learn how to pick up and deliver loads safely, learn how to load and unload trucks and other vehicles. Finally, learn how to maintain the forklift properly and safely. Depending on the client requirements, power industrial truck operator training can be made for general or specific categories such as for Forklift, Telehandler, and Manlift.
