FALL PROTECTION/WORKING AT HEIGHT
Falls are the leading cause of fatalities in the construction industries and also one of the most common causes in Oil & Gas industries. Most fatalities occur when employees fall from open-sided floors and through floor openings. Falls from as little as 4 to 6 feet can cause serious lost-time accidents and even death. Fall protection systems can consist of devices that arrest a free fall or devices that restrain a worker in a position to prevent a fall from occurring. Open-sided floors and platforms 6 feet or more in height must be guarded using an engineering control. This course will provide clear examples of the proper and improper ways to deal with fall hazards based on the industrial and construction activities conducted at heights.
FORKLIFT/TELEHANDLER/MANLIFT OPERATOR
This course is designed to present fundamental information on forklift/powered industrial truck safety. The course will highlight the importance of checking out the forklift equipment before operating it. In addition, the course will educate participants on how to properly survey the areas in which personnel will operate their forklift for potentially hazardous situations. Personnel attending this course will learn how operate their forklift using safe driving techniques, learn how to pick up and deliver loads safely, learn how to load and unload trucks and other vehicles. Finally, learn how to maintain the forklift properly and safely. Depending on the client requirements, power industrial truck operator training can be made for general or specific categories such as for Forklift, Telehandler, and Manlift. OVERHEAD CRANE & HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS
This course is for the crane operator and the supervisory personnel responsible for the daily operation and safe performance of cranes. The course covers major crane components, safe operating practices, daily checklists, communications, and operator inspections per OSHA, documentation requirements, and hands on demonstrations. Each participant will have the opportunity to perform an actual pre-operation inspection that is required by OSHA . Untrained and poorly trained operators cause more crane accidents and millions of dollars in damage each year. Our overhead crane operator training program is designed to provide your operators with the information they need to help prevent accidents and product damage while increasing productivity.
VERTICAL RESCUE
When someone is suspended in mid-air after a fall, their lives hung in the balance. Even if they have survived the fall without a scratch. The intension of this training is to assist in understanding the implication of personnel?s falling, being arrested and then suspended by a harness which initially save them, but minutes later may kill them due to suspension trauma. This training will help participants understand the important of fall protection and rescue plan.
PERMIT TO WORK (PTW)
Work Permit System helps prevent incidents and accidents. It requires a thorough review of work tasks and job site conditions before hazardous work task can begin. The work permit is an essential tool of the Work Permit System that identifies and documents the hazards and precautions of a specific work activity or a Restricted Area so the work can be done safely. The work permit is an official record of the specific work process and the agreed conditions and minimum safety precautions to be followed during the work. This course essentially introduces the Work Permit System and the work permits used to control hazardous work activities or processes in Restricted Areas. Work can remain safe only if the person prepare the job properly, follow the safety precautions, and have qualified supervision. This course will highlight how it is important to agree to the minimum safety precautions (controls), and maintain them to ensure co-workers are focused on preventing incidents that can lead to equipment damage, injuries, or loss of life.
JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA)
Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a procedure which helps integrate accepted safety and health principles and practices in to a particular task or job operation. In a JSA each basic step of the job is identify potential hazards and to recommend the safest way to do the job. Other terms used to describe this procedure are Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) AND Job Hazard Breakdown. This course will help identify the hazards in any given operation ? task and will set the proper procedures to accomplish the operation safely, efficiently and effectively without causing any damages to the environment on injury to personnel or loss of equipment. This course will cover the four key components of a JSA which includes selecting the job to be analysed, breaking the job in to sequence of steps, identifying the potential hazards, and determining the preventive measure to overcome these hazards.
LOAD SECURING ON HEAVY VEHICLES
Unsecured or inadequately secured loads pose a safety risk and could cause injury and even death. This training will provide the proper procedures and instructions on how to secure loads, equipment and tools on heavy vehicles safely. In addition, the course will ensure educating participants on the proper methods to inspect the securing tools, and lifting equipment.
WORKPLACE SAFETY
Workplace safety is the responsibility of everyone in an organization. Companies have legal obligations to meet certain safety requirements, but many go further than the minimum obligations. Safety standards and procedures must be put in place, and everyone needs to follow the standards in order for them to be effective. Our Safety In The Workplace course will be instrumental in reviewing common hazards, safety techniques and after completion, your participants will have the tools to help them create a Safety policy for your work place. By identifying and anticipating hazards, employers can prevent injuries and keep employees safe.
LOCKOUT-TAGOUT
Over time, all equipment must be maintained, repaired, serviced or upgraded. This work is normally done by maintenance crew. The equipment must be in a safe condition so that the work can be performed. This means de-energizing the equipment, which means removing all sources of energy. The equipment must then be locked out (LO) so that it cannot be turned on or opened during the repairs or maintenance. Locked out equipment is identified with a tag that tells the other workers about the work being in progress. Locking and tagging equipment lets others know that it must not be energized. This course will highlight in depth the Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) program and educate participants on how to properly secure it.
CONFINED SPACE ENTRY
Both the general industry and the construction industry conduct numerous work tasks that require entry into confined spaces. Confined spaces are subject to contain many hazards that must be eliminated or controlled prior to entry. Workers must know and follow established confined space entry (CSE) procedures and follow all safety procedures. Identifying the CSE hazards and then controlling them is the most essential part of this course. The course will educate participants on the definition of a confined space and the minimum site safety requirements and procedures to be implemented when opening, entering, exiting, and/or performing work within these spaces.
