OVERHEAD CRANE & HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS | This course is for the crane operator and the supervisory personnel responsible for the daily operation and safe performance of cranes. The course covers major crane components, safe operating practices, daily checklists, communications, and operator inspections per OSHA, documentation requirements, and hands on demonstrations. Each participant will have the opportunity to perform an actual pre-operation inspection that is required by OSHA . VERTICAL RESCUE | When someone is suspended in mid-air after a fall, their lives hung in the balance. Even if they have survived the fall without a scratch. The intension of this training is to assist in understanding the implication of personnel?s falling, being arrested and then suspended by a harness which initially save them, but minutes later may kill them due to suspension trauma. PERMIT TO WORK (PTW) | Work Permit System helps prevent incidents and accidents. It requires a thorough review of work tasks and job site conditions before hazardous work task can begin. The work permit is an essential tool of the Work Permit System that identifies and documents the hazards and precautions of a specific work activity or a Restricted Area so the work can be done safely. The work permit is an official record of the specific work process and the agreed conditions and minimum safety precautions to be followed during the work. This course essentially introduces the Work Permit System and the work permits used to control hazardous work activities or processes in Restricted Areas. Work can remain safe only if the person prepare the job properly, follow the safety precautions, and have qualified supervision. This course will highlight how it is important to agree to the minimum safety precautions (controls), and maintain them to ensure co-workers are focused on preventing incidents that can lead to equipment damage, injuries, or loss of life. | |
JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA) | Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a procedure which helps integrate accepted safety and health principles and practices in to a particular task or job operation. In a JSA each basic step of the job is identify potential hazards and to recommend the safest way to do the job. Other terms used to describe this procedure are Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) AND Job Hazard Breakdown. This course will help identify the hazards in any given operation ? task and will set the proper procedures to accomplish the operation safely, efficiently and effectively without causing any damages to the environment on injury to personnel or loss of equipment. This course will cover the four key components of a JSA which includes selecting the job to be analysed, breaking the job in to sequence of steps, identifying the potential hazards, and determining the preventive measure to overcome these hazards. | |
DERRICK MAN – IADC | A Derrickman position has far more responsibilities and a more complex role than a Floorhand or a Roustabout. Derrickmen occasionally act as a supervisor to the crew or an assistant to the assistant driller. The Derrickman position requires a comprehensive knowledge of the entire Mud System from make-up and mixing of the mud, the chemicals and mud additives used, to the maintenance of the solids control system, Mud pit transfer lines, and to the Mud Pumps. The work also includes testing of the mud qualities and keeping the mud within the specifications required by both the Mud engineer in charge and the Driller or Assistant driller. Derrickmen have to be proficient in the operations of the Monkey Board and Stabbing Board during Tripping and Casing operations. Derrickmen is responsible for the maintenance and inspection of the Crown Block, Traveling Block, Swivel and Top Drive. When working on drilling operations, the Derrickman has to fully understand the process of well control and his role and duties during a well control incident or Hazardous mud chemical issues. | |
ASSISTANT DRILLER – IADC | The Rig Assistant Driller is responsible for assisting the driller on all his tasks and duties which can include and not limited to, drilling function, daily driller inspection, and daily supervision of rig activities. Assistant Driller will play a key role in rig start-ups operations on a new drilling site, assist in daily drilling, workover, and well control operations. This course will educate the participants on how to perform regular inspection on drilling systems and drilling equipment. They will learn how to operate on both a Joy stick cyber chair and a manual rig break type. The course will also focus on assembling bottom hole assembly, rig math, general and 3rd party service operations. | |
RISK ASSESSMENT & MANAGEMENT | This course provides an introduction on how to manage risks associated with daily activities in home, office or even at a work site. The course explains general concepts of risk identification and management, as well as how to manage the non-speculative risks of individuals and businesses. Emphasis will be placed on analyzing various types of operational and industrials sectors including life, health, property, and liability insurance contracts.The course will provide the participants with the proper planning skills on how to identify potential risks, hazards and practices on how to prevent, avoid and eliminate them.
